Please join us in praying for the repose of the soul of Abbot John Neitzel, O.Praem. who was called home to God on Easter Sunday morning, his 84th birthday.
In 1963, +John was appointed founding prior at Daylesford in the western suburbs of Philadelphia. Eight years later, when Daylesford Priory was raised to the status of an abbey, he was elected the first abbot, a position he held for eighteen years.
We mourn the death of Abbot Neitzel, and remember in prayer the Norbertine family and all who were blessed by the ministry of this gracious and holy man!
